This page is a tribute to the legendary
Joey Dunlop "King of the Roads". The memorial
garden is located in the centre of Ballymoney, County
Antrim, Northern Ireland, Joey's home town. The garden
honours Joey's many achievements; as a road racer, as
a family man and his many humanitarian trips to help
those less fortunate.
| Pride of place in the garden is
a full size bronze statue of Joey astride the Honda
VTR SP1 which he rode to victory in the 2000 Isle
of Man TT. The bronze statue was unveiled by the
local Mayor of Ballymoney Bill Kennedy and Honda
UK's Bob Macmillan. The sculptress, Amanda Barton
unveiled an identical figure of Joey on the Isle
of Man in June 2002. |
| Hopefully, this page will
give those of you around the world, who may never
get the chance to travel to Ballymoney, the chance
to have a virtual look around. Please click on
any of the photographs for the full sized view.
I have sized them so all of Joey's many achievements
can be viewed with ease. |
